I am Krypto C On The Kits, a music producer born and raised in the DMV area. I got into music from watching Epic Rap Battles of History and The Infinite Source (Digital Flow X) on YouTube when I was in elementary and middle school. One of my friends in middle school used to freestyle in class, so I got inspired to write lyrics and poems for my music class when I was in the 8th grade. Fast forward two years to my sophomore year in high school, I used to freestyle outside of school with my brother and some other kids while waiting on my Mom to pick me up. My brother and I even released a freestyle mixtape to SoundCloud that we recorded on my phone. However, I did not seriously consider creating music until I got to college. I met some friends that use to cook up in their campus apartments. Two friends in particular produced and engineered, but I began working a job on campus, and did not get off until midnight, so I never had time to record. Simultaneously, I also became increasingly intrigued at producing and engineering, two roles I never even knew existed before enrolling in college. In 2020, my university evacuated for the covid 19 pandemic, so I was stuck in the house more often than not. I tried my hand at making music with bandlab on my phone, but the quality was not the best, so my Mom pushed me to look into some production equipment. To make a long story short, my story is one of a young man that got into music as a songwriter and recording artist that was forced to learn music production during the pandemic, due to not having the funds to seek studio time. I have learned a lot about music and life in general and look forward to what my future in music looks like as I progress.
